Yes absolutely! We can remove and dispose of existing flooring as part of the service. This service will be included in your quote if needed.
In most cases, yes it does. Subfloor preparation is essential for a smooth, stable installation. It may include cleaning, levelling and addressing moisture issues. During the initial quoting process, we’ll inform you that the subfloor will be assessed once the existing flooring is removed. If any levelling issues or damage are identified, subfloor preparation work may be required to ensure a stable and long-lasting installation. Please note that this work is NOT included in the initial quote and will incur an additional cost, which will be discussed with you before proceeding.
To maintain the beauty and longevity of your wood flooring, we recommend using a soft-bristle broom or a vacuum with a hardwood floor attachment for regular cleaning. Avoid excessive moisture or wet mopping, as water can damage the wood over time. Additionally, use felt pads under furniture legs to prevent scratches. We’ll provide tailored care guidelines specific to your flooring type after installation.
In most cases, you can remain in your home during the installation. However, access to certain rooms may be temporarily restricted while work is in progress. We’ll coordinate a schedule with you to minimize disruption and ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible!
